Role Overview
The Research and Development Manager (RDM) will oversee cutting-edge technical research programs and manage specialized facilities that underpin our critical national security operations. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation and strategic direction of specialized research facilities.
- Lead multiple concurrent research programs, ensuring timely and impactful results.
- Coordinate with external partners and stakeholders to advance collaborative projects.
- Manage technical resource allocation, budgets, and operational planning.
- Develop and implement new research capabilities aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide detailed reporting and strategic insights to senior leadership.
Requirements
- An advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant technical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Physics).
- Extensive experience managing technical projects or research programs.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in high-pressure, innovative environments.
- Exceptional technical judgment and strategic decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas effectively to diverse audiences.
- British citizenship and UK residency for the past 15 years.

Security Clearance
